Amsterdam,
September 1st 2005. Nikon announces the latest member of its
award winning COOLPIX digital camera family today with
the launch of the Coolpix L1.
Enjoying the heart of the image - the COOLPIX L1 combines Nikon’s
highly acclaimed imaging expertise with a host of easy to use
features and is therefore ideal for first time digital camera
users or those looking to improve on their first purchase.
The Coolpix L1 and L101 (silver and black models respectively)
has 6.2 Megapixels, 5x optical zoom capability, a large 2.5 inch
LCD for easy image editing and viewing, and a range of exclusive
in-camera features including Face-priority AF, D-Lighting and
Red-Eye Fix.
These in-camera
features help the user improve their images with ease. More
light: The D-Lighting function solves the problem
of insufficient exposure – keeping well-exposed parts of
the pictures as they are, while automatically adding light and
detail where necessary.
Finding faces: The clever Face-priority AF is another smart
feature of the COOLPIX L1. By automatically detecting the presence
of a human face in the frame, the feature provides sharp focus
on the face resulting in better portraits without any extra hassle.
No more red eyes: Everyone knows the annoying red-eye effect.
But even here Nikon solves this problem by correcting it with
the In Camera Red-Eye fix.
Despite its incredible array of fun and easy to use features
the COOLPIX L1 is competitively priced (insert local price here),
making it an affordable entry into the world of high quality
digital cameras.
Other features designed to make the COOLPIX L1 the ultimate easy
to use digital camera are 15 scene modes, to help users get the
most from everyday settings, a choice of two simple menus, extended
AA battery compatibility, movie recording with sound at a smooth
30 fps, PictBridge printing and PictureProject software for easy
editing and sharing.
