Thomas Philios was born in Grevena - Greece in 1961. He studied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Ioannina. He lives in Grevena and works as a Computer Science teacher for the Secondary Education level.
He organized three personal photograph exhibitions from 1992 to 1994 and one in 2000 at the Photography Centre of Thessaloniki. Some of his photographs have been published in magazines like ‘The Photographer’, 'The Photo Net' and ‘Panos Street’. He has also attended and organized himself photography seminars.
During the years 1998-2000 he coordinated the program called “Aesthetic Wandering on North Pindos” that was carried out within the framework of Ministry of Education Mobility Programs. The program included organization of photograph exhibitions, and multimedia CD-ROM making with photographs, texts and music from the region of North Pindos.
In December of 1999 he published the photo album "Aesthetic Wandering in North Pindos" with 40 black and white photos (University Studio Press, ISBN 960-12-0799-6).
In August of 2002 participate in show of Culture Ministry, Cultural Olympiad, Program «Agora» with: 1) photograph exhibition, 2)CD-ROM show with 200 black and white photographs and 3) Live Music and Picture show, 180 color transparences from «Pindos» and music from «Mesogiaka Hchochromata».
Since June 2004 issue photographs as a cover in musical CD of company ECM Records in Germany.
