I was born on a day of November 1958 next
to the waters of the Nile. I think for a start it couldn’t
have been better. My life seems to flow like the waters
of the
Nile and along its banks many interchanges of sceneries
and surprises reveal themselves, things of a splendid beauty.
Its waters carried me to the Mediterranean Sea and I arrived
in Athens, where
I grew up. I did not follow the family’s tradition hatching generations
of architects and doctors on both sides. I studied decoration and stage design.
I have been basically working as a decorator, but at the same time and for many
years in Television as stage designer in children’s programs.
I like to create, to work with my hands. Maybe the result of all that lead to
the point, where I was offered to participate in a daily televised children’s
emission, where I was to present hand made constructions not only for kids but
for adults too.
I’ ve accepted and did it happily for three years. It then took me another
year to write and publish my own book about hand made constructions.
Its title (label): “ If you love me, don’t waste me”
I have to admit, that during this process I developed the need to turn to photography.
I registered in a school of photography called “ FOCUS” where a whole
new world, the world of photography has revealed itself to me.
Life is indeed full of surprises.
